Hardwood Flooring Inspectors use precision equipment to analyze wood floors. Typical equipment involves wood moisture meters, hygrometers, precision rulers and taper gages, levels, straight line lasers and rotating laser levels.

Wood Floor Inspections consist of measuring moisture, measuring board widths or lengths, inspecting the sub-floor and floor joists, measuring relative humidity and temperature, measuring floor flatness. When necessary, the inspection may include an assessment of a basement or crawlspace.
